About NHHPCO

New Hampshire Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHHPCO) is a nonprofit, 501©(3) charitable organization offering resources and support to improve end-of-life care in our community. NHHPCO exists to benefit the people of New Hampshire. In collaboration with others, NHHPCO advocates for improved access to excellent hospice and palliative care and for related services to meet health care needs of people facing life-threatening conditions and provide support to their families.

Our Vision

All people in New Hampshire will have access to excellent care that is valuable and meaningful to them when facing life-threatening conditions.

Our Mission

New Hampshire Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHHPCO) promotes  its goals of access and quality by:

4 Raising public awareness and expectations

4 Educating professionals and other caregivers
  4
Advocating for a legislative and regulatory agenda aligned with our vision
4 Providing professional networking opportunities for membership
4 Engaging organizations to work with us in advancing common goals

Rationale

NHHPCO fosters a statewide climate that enables member organizations to advance their own vision and mission related to care at the end of life within their local New Hampshire communities. Through its resources and services NHHPCO assists member organizations to develop their caring capacity.

New Hampshire Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHHPCO) is a nonprofit, 501©(3) charitable organization. NHHPCO began in 1978 as New Hampshire Hospice Organization (NHHO), a networking association by dedicated  hospice workers and volunteers and was incorporated into its present form in 1994. In 2002 NHHO became NHHPCO. Support for these services is derived from membership dues, donations and ear-marked grants given for specific purposes.

Other Services Include

4Maintaining an active web presence for the exchange of information at www.nhhpco.org

4Publishing quarterly editions of The Bridge Newsletter featuring topics of  interest and happenings around the state
